From January 13 to 17, we were represented at BAU in Munich with a mixed team and an approx. 40 square meter booth. The world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems is regarded as a beacon of hope for the industry. Despite being shortened by one day, well over 180,000 visitors (2023: 190,000) came to the fully booked exhibition grounds at Messe München to find out about innovations and trends from 2,230 exhibitors (2023: 2,260) from 58 countries (2023: 49 countries). In addition to the number of participating countries, the international share of exhibitors also reached a new record of 52%.
Our exhibition booth was built by the company VAVONA. After the product changeover to SKALA Matrix, we completely equipped one side of the stand with Matrix modules of different sizes (two different shades of gray). The appearance was very impressive, elegant and clearly showed the adaptability and flexibility of the new product. The numerous visitors were very interested in the more diverse application possibilities associated with it.
Our visitors were larger architectural firms, but also partners (architects, suppliers, certifiers and BIPV stakeholders) that we already know from previous projects. Numerous contacts were recorded for follow-up.
The highlight: In the Innovation Center at the trade fair, there was an award ceremony as part of the BAKA product innovation prize (topics related to building in existing buildings). SKALA received an award as a BIPV system solution. In their laudatory speech, the jury noted that our solar modules are among the very few that are in a class of their own in terms of technical and design quality.
