AVANCIS contributed two papers and a conference article to this year's 8th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion (WCPEC-8) in Milano.

Janina Moereke reported in the session "Multi-Scale Design and Analysis Tools for the Integration of Photovoltaics in the Built Environment" about the work on the topic of gloss, reflection and possible glare effects of PV facades compared to common building facades. For this purpose, she also carried out measurements at the Hofbräuhaus in Munich, among other places.

The data collected will be included in a scientific article published in the proceedings of the conference.

In the session "CIGS and CIGSSe, Module Efficiency and Stability", Hossam Elanzeery reported on the path to our current world efficiency record of 19.8 % for CIGS-based submodules from the R&D Center Munich. He showed which changes in precursor and absorber manufacturing have contributed significantly to the improved efficiency.
